getting it together

Hello all,
I hope that everyone is having a great week! Decided to re-organize all of my paper crafting supplies and in the process started to unmount stamps and remount them on EZ Mount so that I can use them on my acrylic block. Who knew that I had so many stamps :) I have to tell you that it is saving a TON of space. I am really glad that I am doing it. Unfortunately, things are a little here and a little there right now. Hope to have it all together soon and get crafting again.

See you again soon!

Friends

Hello,
I hope that you all had a wonderful and safe 4th of July. I would like to thank you all for your very sweet comments.

I decided to take things in a different direction. I thought elegant neutrals would be a nice change of pace.

This card is all Stampin' Up! products. The card stock is very vanilla, crumb cake, and early espresso. This was highlighted with designer series papers, stamp from the "Vintage vogue" set, organdy ribbon, filigree brads and button latte.

Looking for inspiration in my retired stamps collection...no telling what you may see over the next few days.

Have a wonderful week. See you soon!

I am entering my very first challenge. This is one from http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ and it was a color challenge to use Pink, Orange, Green and Brown. This is my submission.

There is still time participate... hope to see you there!

Quick and easy cards

As promised here are a couple of quick cards that I made with my new Cricut Create. (did I mention that I love it?) lol

This card is made with Stampin' Up! Card stock and the "hello" stamp is from the "Hello Again" set also from Stampin' Up! The sunflower is from my Cricut cartridge "Walk In My Garden". I embossed the white cardstock with an embossing folder and the ribbon is from a discount bin :)

OK, this is one of my favorite little guys (although I adore all of the "critters"). This was made with the "Create a Critter" cartridge (This is my kids' favorite) Card stock from Stampin' Up! (SU) along with the "for you" stamp from the "Vintage Labels" set. The ribbon is *new* from SU in the new catalog being released July 1.

This little fire dog is my favorite!!!!

With all of these critters, I see the "need" for the new My Pink Stamper "Punny" stamps :) I love her videos too, great tips if you are thinking about getting a Cricut (which I highly recommend).

Well, I'm off to create some more critters... see you soon!

I'm in Love!!!!!

Hello all,
I just have to share...I got a Cricut today!!! Woo Hoo! I decided to get the smaller Cricut Create (due to space and budget constraints) Michael's is having a HUGE sale on the machine and the cartridges. It is very easy to use...I just plugged it in and got going (OK, I've watched about 100 videos...drooling over the possibilities for weeks) It really wasn't that difficult though. The kids think I'm the coolest ever!!!! I will make some adorable cards with the critters and such that I have made. I just couldn't help sharing the excitement!!!

See you soon!

Bright and Brighter!

Hello there all my crafty friends!
I hope that your weekend is starting off great! It is VERY hot here in SC (great weather to stay inside and create). So that is exactly what I did. I thought it was time for some brighter fun Summer time colors. One of my friends once told me that her favoite colors were "bright and brighter" and these cards made me think of that. I hope you enjoy!

Because I Care...

Hello again,
I wanted to share a new stamp set from Stampin' Up! with you. It is called "Because I care". It is so beautiful!!!!!! I knew the moment I saw it that it had to be mine. The main feature is a hydrangea (my favorite flower!) Ok, here are a few pics of a quick card that I did. Couldn't get the colors to show as well as I had hoped, but didn't have time to run into town for some fresh batteries :) The card base is Handsome Hunter, accented by Almost Amethyst and Marina Mist (a new color in the 2010-2011 catalog). There are a lot of new colors and I can't wait to share them with you.

Here is the front of the card. It opens with the Almost Amethyst layer.

Here is the inside of the card

This is a simple card with a lot of color. (the pictures just don't do it justice). I would like to use this stamp set for a Victorian card in the future. There is some new Stampin' Up! lace and pearl embellishments that I need to acquire.

I hope that you are all enjoying Summer!
See you again soon.
